The motto of Heroes of the Nation is “Today’s Orphans, Tomorrow’s Heroes.” In order to make this slogan a reality, we recognize the importance of providing children with the skills necessary to realize their dreams. HTN considers education a key to a child’s success, and requires each child to continue his or her education until a high school equivalency is obtained.
In the last years, HTN students have ranked in the top 5% in national, year-end examinations.
We believe that each child should be empowered to be a prominent leader in their preferred area of study. A strong emphasis on education will result in students who will enter adulthood as well-prepared and desirable candidates for employment in various areas of society.
In Kenya, less than half of the 600,000 students who would like to go to secondary school are able. Of those, less than 60,000 go on to finish university (unicef.org). With all of our students required to finish secondary education, they already have a great advantage over many of the young adults their age.
"I am partnering with this wonderful organization whose innovative approach and success are known throughout Kenya."
